| Well, the deals were good so I am trading in my TL for an 06 MDX with the Tech Package, with a slate Grey exterior and Grey interior. Now I will have 2 Xs in the garage as of next tuesday. Now I will have to hear my neighbours and friends say, Hmmm, if I had your money, I'd burn mine. I did not want to wait around for the new X and find out that it's priced out of range. Besides I like the current X a lot. |

Congrats BLEX!!:29:
I've thought about doing this, too but I am not sure I can give up the driveability of a car just yet... |

Slate Grey is a dark grey, kind of like my Anthracite TL, but a richer colour. I do not think it is presently availiable in the USA.
Oh, she gets the old black unit :D and I get the new Grey one. Unless she wants the Grey one, then it's hers. Happy Wife, happy Life. |

Congrats Blexv6!
I too would not want two SUV's and NO car! I love to pimp on weekends in the RL.....;)
Make sure to protect that carpet and leather. I know what color it is because it was in my 1998 Accord Coupe EXV6. Not for heavy traffic however.....
Does it have Navi?
btw: This past weekend, I took each wheel off one at a time, meticulusouly washed each one front and back, inside and out, and polished them. While wheels off, cleaned the wheel wells to make it all look brand spanking, the RL of course.......The MDX has seen rain !
LOL
Happy Friday!:1: :1: |

I too had the 1998 Accord EXV6, with the grey leather interior and carpets, and they are hard to keep clean, thus is why I usually get the black interiors. However the colour combos are limited and I did not want two black units, and the only other colour with Black interior was the silver and I did not want that colour. I love the Slate Gray, and the only reason I did not buy it in 04 was the gray interior. Oh well, I will get the black winter mats. BTW, whoever gets your RL or MDX for that matter, will be getting a great car. That said, if you don't drive them, maybe they will be your last vehicles.
Yes it has Navi. In Canada, the Navi unit is called the "tech package" I would never get another vehicle without. Unfortunately, you generally have to get the top of the line vehicle to get it. For example, I was thinking of getting the new Lexus ES350 and the initial price was $42,000 CDN, but if you wanted the navi, you had to buy the package with all the extras, and it balooned to $54,000 CDN, that and the fact that they were in short supply and there were no deals and could not get one until October, and the good deals with the MDXs, I went with the X. However if Acura keeps trying to move up in cost, thats where they will lose me. Also, I tested out the 06 TL, and found them much smaller than my 02 TL, and of course my X. Been spoiled I guess. I also needed to get rid of the TL, with being on the 4th tranny, I have never trusted it, and feel the hesitation all the time with the tranny, something I never feel with my X.
BTW, I was tempted to buy the 04 RL, on several occasions as my dealer was giving it away, back in 04. I like it a lot. |

| We bought our daughter a 2006 MDX Touring/with Navi and rear DVD, she wanted the Desert Rock Metallic with the saddle interior. I must say its very nice, she really liked the RDX and the Nissan Murano, but after her accident we decided that the MDX was a much better SUV for her (she really wanted a Audi A4 3.2 Quattro, but after my dealing with audi i decided that NO AUDIS, also the MDX did a great job of protecting her.) We found the RDX to be small, my daugther liked it, but then again we would have let her borrow our car if she wanted to take her siblings out. But we found for the price of a loaded RDX we would just go and get the bigger MDX, and i personally liked the Blue color, but wanted the tan, so we got what she wanted, i have yet to drive it, but i will soon i hope before she leaves. So chalk up one more MDX! LOL! |

| I just recieved my 06 MDX with the tech package. I never thought I would say this, but I like the fake black wood, it goes well with the grey interior. The nav system and interface with the screen is much more comprehensive than my 04s, and I played a bit with the wireless phone (bluetooth), and it works quite well. I have a lot of extra learning to do. Unfortunately, when I got home, we had friends over and I could not play with my new X. |
