Hi,
I just installed a Graco Snugride in my non-Latch '01 MX at the middle seat position. I've sat on the seat while wrenching the shoulder belt up to tighten the whole unit. When I get up the base tilts to the right since the shoulder belt is pulling up on the base where it exits. Is this normal? If not- what am I doing wrong?
My daughter could be here any day now and I want to make sure she is completely safe and sound. Thanks for any help and suggestions.

| Call your local police department. There is usually an officer trained in the proper installation of child seats in each jurisdiction. The service should be free and the peace of mind is priceless. Many hospitals have similar services as well. |

| Ours seemed to have a bit of a lean after awhile. I think we just shifted the seat slightly to one side and it levelled is out (mostly). We are using a Britax Decathlon, now for DD (18 mos old), forward facing. |

I used to mostly use one side or the other, rather than the middle.
Just a tip. Put an old towel down under the car seat at all times. It does two things. One is it keeps the seat from scratching/tearing/denting your interior. More important, it keeps all the spilled Milk, Formula, Cheerios, Snacks, Poop, Pee, assorted toxic waste from making a mess of your back seat. It keeps it from getting between the seat and back, and makes clean-up so much easier. I used one until my kids were about 6 years old. |
