Hi,
We just purchased a 2005 MDX and would like to install a hitch and wiring.
Looking at installation instruction I figured I could do the work myself. The question is, where is the best place/price to order the parts? I came across Handa Accessories while searching online. Is $244.20 and $84.48 reasonable for the hitch and wiring harness?

Be sure that you add in the transmission cooler if you are going to be doing any towing. The MDX transmission is just too weak to take chances.

I also say go with Tim as I did. Very easy to work with and excellent prices.
If you are going to tow with the MDX, go the complete package, hitch and both coolers along with the wiring harness. It's very easy to install yourself. The instructions online at Hondaacuraworld couldn't be any simpler and are very easy to follow. Heck they are made for the techs to use how much simpler could it be. ;)
I did mine in an afternoon. It would be nice to have a second person when you start the bolts for the hitch, but if you don't, try using a couple large wiretyes on one side while putting the bolts in on the other. |
