| I got a quote of Canadian$112 plus tax 2 months ago to replace both the air filter and the cabin filter. When the job got done, the service advisor was charging me an additional $70 for labor. I said the lady I spoke to on the phone confirmed that the $112 includes the labor when I asked her. The service advisor said no and that the lady I was referring to no longer works for them. I said you are misleading people when you do a quote and charge something else. To make the story short, they waived the labor and just charged me $112 plus tax. I thanked the service advisor in the end just to show my appreciation. |

if you look at the estimate sheet carefully there is a note that reads
"valid for 30 days" |

Sounds like there was no formal quote done or anything.
Next time, have the dealer write an estimate of work to be performed and costs and sign off on it. Be sure to write on the estimate that you MUST be contacted by phone for any work beyond the scope or cost of the estimate. |

| The first time I visited this dealership, they included in the invoice a list of recommended services. I went there the following month for a brake flush. I paid whatever amount is listed there which includes not only parts but also labor. When I went there 2 days ago to have the air and cabin filters changed, I asked them how much. The guy said Canadian $112 plus tax. When the job was done, he said " by the way, the $112 plus tax doesn't include the labor yet". That's when I contested their invoice. I said "you and the lady on the phone quoted me $112 plus tax. Why would you give me a quote just for parts? Why does the quote on the brake flush already included the labor." He was lost for words. He started blaming the lady who he said no longer works for them. Not my problem. He spoke to his manager. They eventually adjusted the costing on the parts and labor to show $112 plus tax. |
