I'm getting poor airflow from the rear ac/heating unit of my 01 MDX. I can hear the fan running at max but there's not much air coming out. The front unit has plenty of air which leads me to believe (maybe incorrectly) that the air/pollen filter is ok. Does anyone know if the air for the rear unit passes through the pollen filter behind the glovebox or is it just recirculated air coming in elsewhere? Could this be a filter problem even though only the rear unit appears to be affected?

| Remove the panels oneach side of the console. You will see the fan for the rear a/c. You may also see the dust clogged screen on the fan. Check it out. |

the ducts for the rear air do not run from the front ducts.
more specifically, on the pass side where the carpet meat the center console there is a panel that is about 2.5 feet long that just snaps on and off, when you pull that off you will see a steel screen,
clean that off and retry |

Thanks for the responses. I was able to remove the panel from the passenger side but I don't see any type of screen. Does the air get drawn in under the dash, near the passenger's (and possibly driver's) feet?
Thanks again |
