I received a call from my dealer where I had a deposit for an 07 MDX for about 2 months, that they had to place their orders in 20 minutes on 8/22/07. They needed to know what color I wanted. As this is a replacement for the 04 my wife drives, I called her and told her to call the dealer with her choice. She selected the Aspen White, same as her 04.
After visiting the dealer that night, we saw the other colors and the 5 or 6 model names that would be available. The dealer had ordered 2 in the Aspen for us, thinking one would be what we wanted, a Tech with Ent and a Sport with Ent. That is the only descriptions that the dealer had to go on.
They would be going to the ride and drive in September with the 07s expected to arrive in October, especially since they had to get their orders in now.

Is that Hopkins? Wow, they like you a lot more than they liked me when I tried to buy my 01 there in late 00/early 01. I got lame treatment from there and from Harvey in Burlingame. Despite a deposit at Harvey, I eventually ended up getting mine from Serramonte one day when I brought my S2000 to the Honda dealer for service and there was my X on the showroom floor after somone failed to pick up what they had ordered. I was psyched and still have the car.
Either way, congrats. That's exciting. Can I go for a ride with you once you get it this fall? I'd be happy to drive all the way from San Carlos to RWC to check it out! :rolleyes:
Its funny. When I got my X, there were none on the road. For almost a year people would ask me about my car - what make, how good, snow handling, etc. These days it seems that nearly 20% of the SUVs I see around here are MDXs. |
