| Hi all, my wife and I just bought a used 2003 MDX (not certified, not from an acura dealer). We've had it just about 2 weeks and love it. I had a question though, the MDX has 52,300 miles on it. Now there were no maintenance records with the car so I have no idea what the previous owner had done (according to carfax it was a 3 year lease in VA, we're in NYC). Where would you guys suggest starting with respect to a maintenance routine? As you guys know, the 52,500 service is oil (and tire rotation), now I figure that's of course a good place to start, but was thinking that a tranny, transfer assembley and VTM fluid change might be in order, seeing that I have no idea where the previous owner left off. Does this sound reasonable or is it overkill? FYI: I changed the break pads this weekend (Honda pads from a local dealer online). There was still some meat left on the old pads but with my wife driving the car, I didn't want to take chances. Thanks for your advice in advance. Looking forward to a long relationship with this forum. |
