Aaaaargh... I started out from a parking lot, made a left, then on the straight street I started accelerating. At about 10-15MPH I hear this awful noise. Did some searches on here and the closest thing I can find is the 'rumble strip' noise people have mentioned with their older MDX's (albeit at 35MPH, and mine was more like 10MPH). I went back to look and the street was fine...I could feel it was the MDX anyway.
But mine is a 2005 with only 16500 miles!
No lights came on, and after several seconds it was back to normal and I could not reproduce it.
Any ideas? Do I schedule a dealer checkup ASAP? I'm sure they will give me the dreaded 'could not reproduce'. |

| I think I'd wait for the second occurrence. You have plenty of warranty time left. If the malfunction set a code, it would probably also have turned on a warning light, no light- no code to retrieve. Going to the dealer may just be an aggravating experience. One time, it's a freak. Twice, it's a breakdown. |

Oh Boy I hope it's not what I think (transmission). Although being a 2005 and still lots of warranty left I wouldn't loose sleep over it.
Hope you have kept it up to date with the recommended services (and/or fluid changes).
It happened to me once (and its a 2001). I didn't bother to take it to the dealer and it never happened again. |

No issues today, so hopefully this was also a one time deal as well. My maintenance is all up to date so I'm not too worried since I have so much warranty time left. I'll mention it at the next maintenance, along with the Nav loosing it's brains and needing me to input the code for no reason. |
