Anyone encounter their car being damaged by their Service Department? Went to pick my MDX last night and a huge crease in the door below the BSM.
Car is Apsen White...not an easy color to match, any thoughts on how to resolve....
I'm not happy about having the car repainted...it will hurt resale, as i will ahve to explain to anyone who is buying it.....the MDX was flawless until this |

Is the paint damaged? If not you could have a paintless dent removal place look at it. If the paint is damaged, then there is really no choice but to have it repainted. Is your dealer taking responsibility? If you need to repaint just make sure you choose a good shop - the dealership will want you to use the cheapest. It falls under minor damage if a potential buyer asks - it shouldn't affect resale if the job is done well. Major accidents with parts replacements, etc hurt resale. |

Sorry about your MDX,but you
do not need to tell anyone
that your car has been repainted.
Same thing happened to my car,took
it to bodyshop of my choice and dealer
paid for it. |

I'm waiting to hear back from the dealer. Thus far they have been very apologetic over the phone.
I have used paint-less dent removal....its awesome, however this dent is right over where the door creases downward.....its seems like they opened the door up and pole hit it or they lowered it off the lift with the door open.....The car had side step bars on it and they are untouched.
I think they will have to reskin the door. In any event it will need to be painted. I had a 2002 RL that was premium white and the bumper got scratched and they never could match it correctly......
