I'm in the market for a new 2006 MDX touring with NAV (NO RES) in the MD/VA/PA/NJ area. The best quote I've gotten so far is $36K before TTL, but including destination. What does everyone think of this quote?

Thanks!

For $1-2K more, you can get the base 2007 model.
But, this is the model year I got. You should shoot for fully loaded 2006.

Uhhh... where did you get that pricing on the 2007? Acura hasnt released ANY pricing as of yet but insiders rumor the range to be 41k to 48k. So that would be a large increase over the current base. From what I have seen from other members on the board a 2006 base can be had around 31k and the nav/res around 37k.

Depends upon where you are. However, it seems pretty good compared to prices I have seen quoted on here.

I would stay away from the new 2007 for a couple of years. Let them get any bugs out.

eurojap got a tour with nav @ 36.6k in MI

paotmc got the same in DC @ 36.4k

hks got a tour with nav & res in MD @ 37.2k

So I still stand by my previous post. 31-37k.

The base model 07 will come in at 41K. So unless the 07 flops, getting it for 37K is nothing but a pipe dream/. PERHAPS, and a big perhaps, you will get close in the Spring, but I seriously doubt that the 07 is going to flop that poorly or quickly.

Again, only opinion, no fact, but based on the two pages of people I have waiting for the 07's and two deposits already, it has all the signs of being a waiting list vehicle for alittle bit anyways.

I bit on this "Sucker Thing" in another message board for HOnda and it turned into a two page disaster sight, so I am going to just go with "Some people put more importance of having the newest, hippest thing than they do on money and patience for hype to wear off."

And in all honesty, do I love these people and the times that are around to financially benefit from them...yep!! :D

I know, from being in this business as long as I have, that 99% of the people that float around these message boards, will be perfectly happy waiting for the hype to wear off so you can get it at a discount. Waiting lists and MSRP are not for you!!!! :D

Back to the business at hand :) The last two dealerships I was waiting to hear from have entered the fray. The closest dealership to me came in with a price of $37600 after tax, title, tags. This translates into a price of about $35480 before the government gets involved. The last dealership I heard from is the one that I purchased my TL-S from a couple of years ago. They came in at $38895 after tax, title, tags. When informed of the other lower quote, the internet sales manager said, "They are really giving it all away, aren't they. They're not making much off of that." The second dealership did match to keep my business. I don't know if others are getting lower prices, but that seems like the lowest I'm going to get.

The one guy mentioned Chevy Chase Acura have you tried them yet?
He states he got tour with nav & res 37.2k which loosly translates to your best price on tour with nav @ 35.4k. So maybe no better but you might be able to get your local to undercut the MD dealer and get you a RES out of the deal.

I did try them. They were the low bid until some of my local dealers came in $1k lower.

RDX Sales-Tech Packages are great. Can't keep them in stock. Non Tech are not taking off just yet. Would not be surprised to see them start to discount soon.
