Strange problem.
Was driving in the rain (leftover of the most recent hurricane) through Pennsylvania early Saturday morning.
Had spent the previous night in Maryland - 120 miles from home (Virginia). Saturday morning at 8am, just prior to leaving, noticed that the tailgate brake light (the center light on the tailgate) was filled with water. Easily removed cover, cleared water and dried.
Soon after, 15 minutes into my drive, the horn honked once, I thought I had hit the horn by accident. Five minutes later, horn went off again, this time it kept going and going and going - 30 minutes in all.
I pulled over and tried to find the fuse that could stop the horn, manual lists two - one up under the dash - which was next to impossible to get to, and one in the engine. Pulled the one in the engine, horn stopped but the VSA light came on and I couldn't drive the MDX.
Not sure what was going on, called Roadside Assistance. Even though I live in Virginia, they insisted on towing my MDX to Pittsburgh - over 4 hours away (once the tow truck driver arrived, he agreed to tow to Virginia).
MDX still in the shop as they try to determine what happened to the horn. Also still waiting on the dealership to decide on who is paying for the tow and for the rental car..... |
