I printed out all of the treads submitted by us about the pinging problem and gave it to my service rep. He called over the tech and they avidly read every tread. He then faxed it to the TBS (main service rep for Acura). We are now waiting to hear back from the TBS. My service rep said these treads were valuable because the TBS had no record of this problem because evidentally no other dealers told TBS of their incidences. Also, the problem must be fairly rare because I am the only one in El Paso with it. In a further effort to keep the dealer informed, I will call him this morning and point out that POLYTAT hasn't had problems in months since his/her MDX was fixed (POLYTAT's story is featured). I also asked what happens if the problem can't be fixed and he said that I go into arbitration with an Acura abitrator in order to see if I warrant getting my money back--I sincerely hope that doesn't go that far.
