On 06 MDX's, what was the original term length on XM? 3 months or 1 year? My car has activated XM, but it was used. The car was originally sold new 5-6 months ago. The dealer CPO'd it about 6 weeks ago. Not sure if they activated XM at that time or it's original. Can I just call up XM and given then the code and they'll tell me what the deal is?

I have an activated Delphi SkyFi2 which I don't need any more, but I think they bill me every quarter so some of it is pre-paid.

I've seen different renewal costs because of XM price changes. What's my best route to proceed with to get the best deal given what's going on with the car and my external unit?

I believe the original term was 3 months like it was on my 05 MDX. However, the dealers have a method of activating the XM radio prior to selling the car because mine was. I waited a couple months before calling XM to register, but I did call to cancel the service on my XM Roady. After a couple months of using the trial under my name, I called and got the xm winback rate from this thread:
Link You should read several pages of the thread and not just the last one though. It started at $60 but ended up at $77.

In short, you might consider just cancelling your existing subscription and just waiting out what is playing now and when it stops, call for a new subscription.

hope that helps
