Question re Cargo Liner - Click HERE for Original Thread

I am considering buying a genuine Acura cargo Liner for my MDX. It seems expensive, but may be worth it. I am curious how users find it, particularly, how does it attach to the vehicle and does it stay in place well. Any users please respond.

I have the cargo tray and think it's great. It's flexible enough to fold if the third row seats are up. Another advantage is it keeps things from sliding around a bit better than the carpet. So far the tray has saved my carpet a few times. It's easy enough to pull out and dump off any spills.
So far I haven't need to but it would work good to kneel on if you need to change a tire on the side of a muddy road.

I believe that mrod is asking about the Cargo Liner as opposed to the Cargo Tray.

They're very useful specially if you have dog (I have a GSD). The only complaint I have is the velcro you stick to the trim panels - they don't stay on very long. I've had to replace them several times in the past year or so since having the X. I've used alcohol, turpentine, etc., to clean the area but the velcro still comes off after a month or so. Must be the heat here in NM.

For most uses, the cargo tray is fine, but when you start hauling soil and wood from Home Depot, or if you have pets, the Cargo Liner is a good investment. You're gonna lose the use of your third row, though, unless you remove it first.

Had the Cargo liner for awhile but was unable to use the 3rd row. Sold it after awhile.

This is by far my favorite Acura accessory. The coverage is outstanding and i love the detachable flap that folds out over the rear bumper for cargo loading (not shown in my pics).

Its made of durable, canvas-like material that doesn't tear easily and seems to repel some amount of moisture. Thanks to the tight weave of the fabric it is much easier to vacuum than the carpeting. Hair, dirt, dust and sand just come right up instead of sticking to the fibers.

It is removable but since I rarely use my third row I just leave it in all the time. It's held in place by several different types of fasteners including tabs, velcro, loops, and sleeves. The smaller velcro tabs tend to come up often, but the larger ones that secure near the window have always stayed in place for me. The little ones don't make much of a difference as the liner tends to stay in place pretty well even when they are loose.

If you ever go to home improvement stores or the beach, own dogs, use the car for work, or do any traveling I highly recommend it.

I haul all types of bagged compost/Black Hen/dirt, wood etc. in my truck. I have the OEM cargo tray and find it good most of the time. If I am hauling a large quantity of sod them I will supplement it with a tarp.

In my opinion it is the most functional of the two as it can be left in 100% of the time with no interference to anything. When I need extra protection I will use a tarp.

I have the liner in my X and rarely use the third seat. I sometimes think I bought the X for my dog and not me. The only complaint is that the velcro does not hold well at all. I have started using double the amount of velcro to keep it in place. For my use, the liner works rather than the tray.

I liked the cargo liner so much I bought another one. lol. I wore the first one out after 5yrs.... Worth every penny. Especially since we have a great dane that hops in the back :)

You actually haven't worn it out yet. It's still being put to good use. I am still using it everytime I visit the home garden store. It came in handy when hauling a few load of sod.

Thanks again and it's highly recommended.

We have a cargo tray in our new MDX. We sort of roll it over when we use the third row seats which is very often (we have four backseaters). We also split the third row sometimes and I'm thinking of cutting the tray to fit with one seat up and one seat down. Any protection is better than no protection at all. Has anyone done that?
thanks

How do you keep the cargo liner from seperating from the velcro.

I have tried adding more velco but it does not work:3: :3: :3:
