I have 103K on my 02 MDX. The dealer is recommending that I replace my timing belt and water pump at 105K, est repair of about $1,500. anybody have any experience with this or recommend a good shop manual?

Had mine replaced today (timing belt and water pump). I communicated with Acura via email and let them know I would compare prices with another Acura dealer plus the local garage (which already guessed it would be "under $800"). When I was quoted $725, and they agreed to accept an expired 10.4% off coupon and provide shuttle service, I decided to look no more. I arrived just as the chair massage lady was set up and recieved the first 15-minute chair massage of the day.

Can you imagine the massage you'd have gotten if you paid full price. You'd have gotten the complete "s(*&)" job.:4:
