| Later I found out the ambient sensor location: Just locate below the front plate. |

Why can't that be right? Maybe the OP is in Canada.

Ugh. Electircal tape. Looks like the front end was in a collision, and the body shop did an ugly job with those wires.
The logic of the outside temp works in an interesting way. If the coolant temp is cold when you turn the key on, it will show the current temp. But if the engine is still warm, the temp will show the last displayed temp before the engine was shut off. Or if power was cut or a sensor fault, -40. You have to get moving and stay moving for the temp to slow creep up to display what it actually is. |

Acutally the tape was not showing like that. It had an black tubing before. To figure out the problem I have to remove the black covering tube. |
