Hey All.

So I finally installed the nav conversion adapter which I got on ebay. Great deal and it worked pretty flawlessly.

I decided that IPOD Video was the best way to go so I used an ipod a/v cable and went right into the nav conversion kit for video (split two ways) and ran 3 wires under the mats to the rear auxillary inputs to show video on the factory RES.

My question. I want to run the ipod av cable inside to the center console. Right now it shows and I have to snap the console down on it....not pretty.

I looked, but being challenged, I have no clue as to how I can remove the center console tray...where there is CD storage.

ANY clues?

This is for a 2006 MDX with Navi and RES.

Thanks,

Well,I never done it but I think you need to remove the center console's side panel.Put the front seat (driver or passenger) all the way back..Pull the side panel and it should snap off..It's just a clip on.

I would rather fish the ipod cable then take out the center counsel. It has a lot of room under it. I would simply drill a hole in your CD compartment and hook the cable..Or you also put your NANo on the cup holder.Cup holder comes off by just pulling it up!!!Not too hard though..

I agree that it should be fished out.
Question is how to get it down there from under the passengers seat to begin with....??

Well ,If you look at different threads in aftermarket amp installation. You get a great idea of how to run the wire. The ipod cable is so short.I would buy a regular rca extension at your local radio shack, best buy, circuit city etc.. heck even 99cents store has them.I would connect that to your rear aux input and attached it to your i pod cable .Then run the wire to front passenger.Lift the panel that is attached to the carpet( it's a clip on too). And start fishing the cable to the center console's side panel..

I hope this helps..

I have already connected 10ft cables from the rear aux inputs so the rear screen gets video and the car gets sound from the ipod.
I basically just need to fish out a 6ft cable from the center to under the passenger seat.
