Extroverts
Any thoughts on cleaning crevices in the MDX? Best tools or tricks. I have black interior so grime in crevices and cracks tend to show up easier. Thank you for the thoughts and ideas.

A paint brush. Or one of those big makeup brushes for putting on foundation works even better for places like the vents and so on.

I have the black interior also and use a combination of different things.

- Like SuperTech said, a good brush is essential. They sell specialty interior brushes now at autoparts stores. Of if want to save a few dollars, buy a soft paint brush (about 1" wide would be perfect) and trim the bristles down to 1.5" - 2" length. This will be good for forcing buildup out of all those crevices.

- For cleaning vents and such, a really simple technique is to just take the handle side of a toothbrush and wrap a terry towel around it, spray a little water or cleaner on the tip and swab it in there.

- A crevice tool for your vacuum cleaner is another essential and is helpful to follow up with after you've loosened dust out of cracks with your brush.

- Qtips may have some useful applications around the radio and controls.

- A can of compressed air could help in those tight places.

Whatever you do, just remember to use the softest tools you can find...many of the plastic interior surfaces like the wood panel trim scratch very easily. Which is why I recommend loosening debris with a soft brush and then sucking that up with a vacuum.

Be sure to vacuum out the crevices and seams in your leather seats also, if dirt is allowed to accumulate there it could damage the stitching and the leather through constant abrasion.

LEAVE your windows shut and enjoy the wonderful Air conditioner the vehicles comes with. I NEVER roll my windows down or open the sun roof. This keeps dust out of your lungs esp. those tight spots ! ;) ;) ;)
