I just bought a MDX today but the navigation is locked and needs a code. The radio works but the navigation doesn't. I called an acura dealer and they said they couldn't pull it up. The dealer which I purchased from said they would call me monday if they could find it. I think I got jipped. I have no car manual either but the dealer said they would send me one in a few days. SOMEBODY TELL ME HOW TO UNLOCK MY MDX's NAVIGATION...other then that MDX's rock.
feel free to email me the answer...

Two things I would check.
1) If you are setup on Owner's link, you can log on and go to "My MDX" Mine shows my radio code and navi code.
2) During PDI, the tech placed the navi code decal and radio code decal on the side of the glove box door. When I open the glove box, you can see the decals on the left side of the box.
I hope this helps resolve your issue.

Acura wants to make a good impression with the sales and delivery of their vehicles - chasing Lexus I suppose.
It is difficult to understand how you could take delivery of a new MDX with the NAV system not being activated and someone at the dealership not going thru the manuals, codes, keys, etc. with you.
This might be a good test of OnStar, see if they can chase down the answer for you.
The 4 page survey of your buying experience with the dealer that Acura mails out about a month after delivery should be a fun day for you.
I think you are just going to have to wait until Monday, the code is part of the theft deterent system. Sorry. |

What "July" doesn't mention in this thread (but did in the other 3 threads he/she started)............is that it is a used 2001 MDX. |
