I've seen people hook up their MDX with USASpec PA11-HON2 and CAS-HON2Y...I'm thinking about getting one installed on my MDX too...but my question is which one should I get? PA11-HON2 or PA11-HON2Y? I know from Zeigh's page that I would need PA11-HON2 with CAS-HON2Y in order to hook up the ipod link...Will I need CAS-HON2Y with PA11-HON2Y too?
The reason I'm asking this is because on a website I found that PA11-HON2Y comes with built in Y harness for cars with XM and/or Navigation. So I don't know if I still have to get the CAS-HON2Y...Thanks for the response, everyone!!! |

| You won't need the CAS-HON2Y if you get the USASpec PA11-HON2Y. The bus harness is one difference b/w the PA11-HON2 and the PA11-HON2y. |

stating the model year and options will help determine which part you need |

| Y is with Y pass thru cable built in that's all. If you don't get Y, you have to get a $10~20 Y pass thru cable seperately |

You need the PA11-HON2y.. don't buy the PA11-HON2 + CAS-HON2y because that adapter does not work well in Acuras (read other post about these issues). You will not need the CAS-HON2y cable because it is now part of the CAS-H2y harness.

| Well, I got the PA11-Hon2y today and installed it...At first, it was working just fine when I was testing before reinstalling the radio to the dash...However, when I put everything back in its place.......the adaptor didn't work anymore!!! I reinstalled the whole thing again and nothing worked now :(...no clue what happened...I was gonna call the tech support but it was after the working hours...Anyone ever had any problem like this before??? |
