It really depends upon your local area. In some areas there is more competition and more for the dealer to reduce prices. Other areas the dealers feel secure and able to get higher prices. It also depends upon just how much, or how little, incentive the dealer thas as that particular time to sell a particular vehicle.
Very, very difficult to advise long distance.

Very true, just shop around and have the local dealers provide you a good deal and have them compete each other to earn your business. |

Invoice minus the $2500 incentive is $37,997 on the Nav/Res. Net dealer cost is $36,621 after holdback/etc. So your deal of $39,787 is not all that great. But as others noted, it depends on the quantity available in your area. I would check the online inventory of all the dealers in your area. If there are many of the config/color you want, then push them a lot more. Get email quotes from all the dealers and play them off of each other. Also the dealers will be more open to dealing towards the end of the month to meet quotas.
You can check accessory pricing at www.hondacuraworld.com. Total cost of the wheel/net/tray is $550, so at $780, they are charging you $230 to install the wheel. That's probably high, but I doubt it's a deal breaker. |

Just my $.02:
I have entered into a new lease for a base '06: My cap cost was dealer tissue (invoice) less rebate of $2500. This any dealer should be willing to do.
In addition, my dealer through in $495 of his rebate.
My final price was $31,134: MSRP was $37,740.
If you check prior threads you will see most are paying no more than dealer tissue (invoice) less the $2500 rebate.
You should not pay more!

 I think that's the best deal I've seen documented for a 2006 base model.
was it $31,134 out the door (meaning the only thing on top would be any related tax and tag.....(no destination fee, doc fee etc)).
If I can get that, I may seriousy consider a 2006. |

"Out the door" ?? Tax title everything or just the price of the vehicle and accessories??
You should be able to buy the X for around $38,000 right now plus accessories...I would say that you are $1,700 to $1,800 high unless your deal includes tax etc...
Good luck! |

What was the price without the "processing"? |

I bought my Touring/NAV/DVD for $36,900 with a cargo cover. Had one dealer offer me the car at $36,700, but I figure $200 for the cover, not having to drive 75 miles to the cheaper dealer, and color choice is worth it.
I have read some people getting the car for about $36,200, so there is still some room to negotiate. With 7.25% tax, our out the door price was slightly under $40K.
By the way, they tried to charge me $1200 for an extended warranty and $400 for wheel locks and glass etching. I declined that and will be paying off my car in a month. I heard the finance manager makes approx $400/car loan so this is another negotiating tool.
Good luck. |

The destination was 600 plus admin fee of 179. So it would lower the cost by 779 to 38658.
The challenge i am having is that this was the lowest of the low in my area, unless somebody knows something I dont an can help before I offically sign tomorrow. |
