Hello all. I don't post much because I sold my 2003 MDX a while back. BUT now I'm in the market again!
I'm down to two vehicles 2006 MDX with Nav and a 2006 Infinity M35

Can you please help me on what the going rate is on the MDX in the following ways?

First- Street price of a NEW 2006 MDX with Nav- I have been reading all the incentives, tissue, ect, posts.. But I can't get a good reading on an "out the door" price. I was told this lot has 7 MDXs with Nav, that they want to move. I purchased my 2003 from them, refered a 2006 RL sale a few months ago, and just refered a 2006 TL sale yesterday.

and Secondly- Looking for the right way to do a 36 month lease. I have never leased a vehicle before but I'm a good canidate. I have $5000 to put down on the lease, some say hold it some say use it?? What to do?

I would really like to get the lease #s where I want them, but I get confused on what is real and what is not.

Thanks everyone in advance,
Matt

Well look at SDTS post about dealer costs with incentive

I am going to buy the same truck and looking to pay 36,000 plus tax/lic

I am going to lease and considering the fees and reading here i will not be putting money down and just using that money to help on the first few payments.

Reading has deff changed my mind on leasing if you read JeffK posts you will learn alot.

good luck!

I work for a dealer in PHX. Every state has different laws in regards to taxes licensing etc so it's hard to help with the out the door figures. As for leasing, in most states your up front fees are your first payment, license, title and doc. Any $$$ you add over and above your up front or start fees is called decap. All you are doing by putting more cash down is lowering the selling price of the vehicle you are buying to the bank. Although this does lower your payment it does nothing to help you in regards to residuals, payoffs, negative equity etc. This is why you are getting the advice not to put additional cash down.

In AZ with 5k from you your payment before sales tax would be $509.52 using most of the factory cash and using a selling price of $37k for a Navigation unit on a 12000 mile lease.

With your start fees of $1780.00 only, your payment is $603.77 before tax. Hope this helps.
