anyone have a [U]positive[U] experience with clear paint protection? Particularly interested if it is a DIY kind of thing or should it be a professional install. will it damage paint in long term, worth costs, etc.

| I am interested in the clear paint protection film used on the front of the vehicle and side mirrors. I am a devoted Zaino user. |

I ordered 3M film from them and installed it on my wife's '06 TL and my '06 MDX. I followed their detailed instructions and it took me a little over an hour for each one (taking my time). I see NO reason to pay 200+ in labor to have this installed. If you can squeegee a window, you can put this stuff on. I just took a trip to South Florida and it protected the paint quite nicely from the love bugs. I highly recommend it.
I had 3M film on my '01 MDX and it still looked great after almost 6 years. |

Having this thin layer on certain area of the car over a period of time, doesn't the car show a color difference between the covered area and the un-covered area?
In other words, after 10 years (for example), the covered area will look like new while the uncovered area will look 'aged'. |
