| I was just wondering, is there a reason for there not bring a side blinker like on the side body molding. I find it very annoying that cars can not see it when they are right next to me. Yuck:( |

Why does a the driver of the vehicle next to you need to see your turn signal. You are not going to turn into that vehicle are you?

It happens all the time. If people are in your blind spot, it would give them a heads that you are changing lanes. Whereas they might not see any turn signal otherwise. Given, you should still check the blind spot but you know how that goes...
Of course people would need to use their turn signals for this to be of any benefit. |

LOL A rare good point by G.
But actually in heavy bumper-to-bumper type traffic side turn-signals make a lot of sense. You might be side by side to person for the moment, and have a split second chance to get in front of them. If they know your intentions, they might let you over.................unless they are a "cock-blocker". :D |

| The 2007 MDX has turn signals integrated into the side mirrors. Not quite the same as side markers (some vehicles have both). But they should help to some degree. |

| 2006+ Pilot has side marker between the door and the wheel well. |

| I was under the impression that side markers are required on European cars, but not in america. I think there needs to be something here, but that's why our blinkers typically wrap around to the side - it covers the requirement. Since most Euro cars sold here are essentially the same as the one they sell in Europe (different emissions, inside stuf, etc - but similar shells), most Euro cars come with them. Almost no American cars have them. I think they should be standard equipment. Then again, here in CA no one uses their blinkers when changing lanes so it wouldn't make a big difference. |
