Is there a diy guide with pics, for a tranny flush? I want to do it myself but am not sure which bolt to drain the tranny fluid from, thanks in advance for any help.

I wouldn't recommend a flush per se but maybe a triple drain and fill, as a lot of members are doing.

This old thread is pretty long but has some pics to guide you.

Its extremely simple. Warm up the car. Remove the drain bolt from the tranny. Its the only one with the 4-side head. A 3/8 breaker bar and a hammer did the trick for me. Drain it all out....3.5 quarts or so. Reinstall the drain bolt. Fill the tranny through the dipstick hole using a long funnel or turkey baster or similar. Each fill use 3 quarts. Drive for 10 minutes, shift through all the gears. Rinse and repeat 2 more times. The final drain be sure to use a new crush washer. It is time consuming but it's worth it. I just did it last weekend.

If his MDX is an '04 or newer it's not the only 4-sided head under there. The transfer case has two of them (one drain/one fill) as well as the tranny. The tranny drain hole is the one by itself closer to the driver's side wheel.

Ok i drained my tranny fluid, now i need ideas as how to get the new fluid into the little dip stick area. I bought a small funnel with no luck, should i try those plastic hoses they sell to attach to a funnel ? clueless???
