I preordered mine and it was suppse to get get the first week of Nov. But it got here early they were not suppose to let me take it until the release date of Oct. 17th but they let me take it early... |

Yep. They sure aren't supposed to deliver any before then. But I doubt anyone gets in trouble over that. My dealer sold an RDX at least a week before it was supposed to go on sale.
Now here it is two days before release day and I've still yet to see a new MDX roll off the truck yet.
Unless...release day was the 13th like originally published? Then they did the right thing. And it's even more embarassing that I don't have one to sell yet. |

I think a lot of dealers don't have any 07's yet. I went to my local dealer in Canton CT on Sunday to poke around, and they had none. I even peered through the dirty service area windows to see if they had one hiding inside...nothing.

| did the dealer have all of the '07 MDX accessories in stock...... I have a new MDX coming in at any 'moment' in the Chicagoland area....but the dealer is not sure when the accessories are coming in .... they thought they would show up about 7 days before the cars got in.... |

| My dealership had to order them but said it should not take more then a week so we will see I am thinking about not getting roof rack now though because they said it causes more road noise, I could tell the difference in it when I drove my 04 with the roof rack the road noise on the highway was louder. |

The 2007 MDX is not a bad looking SUV. I like it.

| I think it is the lighting..I had the Sage brush pearl before and it has more of a blue color in it. I think it looks mostly gray to me... |

I was at my dealer checking out the sport pkg MDX and was trying to figure out where the NAV DVD Drive is at. I didn't think this was shared w/ the 6 Disc Changer, but figured I'll ask some who owns one.

| RES = Rear Entertainment System. So, the bottom is for the RES, but does the NAV use a DVD as well? In my past experiences w/ NAV, they have a DVD data disc. I was trying to figure out where this drive is at for the NAV. If it's shared between the RES, that is going to be a bummer. |

Hey,
Did this thing come with a built-in Hard Drive to store your MP3's on? That'd be cool. Lexus has an 80GB HD in the new LS, with room to store, I believe, 15,000 songs, if memory serves.
So much for a 6, 10 or 12 disc changer. |

I believe, the DVD unit is separate from the 6-Discs unit. As you say, its right below it.

| I think it handles alot different, especially when you put it in sport mode ..it has liquid magnetic shocks, computer controls all shocks.. it really hugs the corners good.. so if you want a sporty ride you switch it to sport mode if you want a mor ecomfy ride you switch it to comfort mode... |

I was at Erin Mills Acura today in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. They had at least 10 of them, all with sold signs on them. I must say I like the X more in person than in pics. I really like the aluminum grill, and the interior is smoking, much nicer than my Xs. I also am pleased that it does not look too much like the Infinity FX series which I hate with a passion, however the back end of the X looks a bit like the FX, only better. On the darker colours, such as grey and black, the two tone bumpers looks really good. On the lighter models, ie: white, the two tone bumpers look cheap. The new mags are much nicer than the ones on my X. In Canada there apppears to be 3 models, base, tech and elite. To me the tech package has the best looking mags. There are 3 different types of mags. I am not sure if the elite package is the sport package in the USA or if we even get the sport package. The base MDX does not have perforated leather. The interior is very nicely done.
Anyway, anyone who gets a new one I am sure will be impressed with the interior upgrades. In particular, the steering wheel and all interior features seems much more substantial than the 06 X.
One thing, there was an MDX and RDX side by side. Now I know the MDX is bigger, but there is NOT a large exterior difference. Interior however, the X seems larger, but the back seat and cargo area seems smaller as the rear roofline seems lower than the 06.

I must admit, that Lexus interior is nice too, classy with the wood trim; but- the Acura (black on black) has them beat...
To get a better comparison, you have to compare similiar colors; but that black on black trounces that parchment. |

I totally agree with you, I was at erin mills acura earlier this weekend, and the MDX looks much better in person than in the pics! I immediately fell in love with it, even though at first from the pics it didn't look too outstanding. But the actual car just amazed me totally! |

I think the car looks much better with the roof rack. To me, SUV's and minivans look odd and incomplete without a roof rack.
The Canadian MDX's also get headlamp washers. |

| The zenon headlights are really nice much much better then my 04 mdx. Has anyone seen the key yet, it is pretty neat key pops out with the push of a botton, although the key is pretty bulky, a little smaller would of been nice. |

I have a few questions about the 07....
I was told by the dealer and even saw it discussed in a few threads that the new '07 would NOT have Rain-sensing wipers...yet the new MDX pages on the Acura site that went up today specifically explains about the "Rain-sensing wipers that will automatically activate in mist or rain".....
also on the "Build it " pages on the MDX site in the Interior and Exterior accessories... there is no mention of "body side molding' OR ' Tow package" being available....every other possible option seems to be there but not those 2 ???? |

| Are you sure the car you are trying to build is a 07 not the 06 bbecause when I pull up the Acura page there is a picture of the 07 but when you click on MDX it is a 06. As for the wipers there is no automatic wipers anymore, but you can set the wipers on intermittent for how ever fast you are going , so they go by the speed of your car. I saw they accesorries sheet at dealership and they did have side molding. |

just went back to Acura page....
click on 2007 MDX....( it is definitely the 2007)...
then click on "Interactive Showroom"...
then go to "Visability"....
they then show and discuss the 2007 MDX

07 looks better now then the 06.
Though looking at the price and accessories what I like, seem to be out of my reach now. Funny, to get a cross bars you need the roof rails, why not just one instead of 2. :mad: |

| hey I have a question that I am dying to know. I personally didn't really like my 05 MDX of the sound it makes when I lock or unlock it. Unlock has no sounds, and locking makes a light beep after u press it two times. I like my car to "sound" when I unlock/lock it, like the bmw, audi, lexus...etc. Was there sounds similiar to those for the 07 MDX? Thanks in advance! |

OK, it's been days now, and- according to the weather channel, it hasn't rained for days anywhere in the continental United States. What's up?!
Yes, when I finally talked to a salesman, he said they did have bodyside molding for them (As shown on the black MDX); they have all the accessories the old MDX had.
But yes, in Texas, where more than 50% of the vehicles on the road are trucks, bodyside molding that low would be useless... Heck, it'd be useless in my garage next to my F-150 (Greatest door ding potential). In public, I ALWAYS try to hug a curb as tightly as possible, giving who ever parks next to me (if they aprk well) ample door swing room.
That said, I do like the way it looks- makes it look even more aggressive. I like the way the black one looks, the one in Silverado's sig is exactly how I'd fix mine up (but black). At $2,100 though, the chrome 19" wheels wouldn't make it. I'd go to discount tire, and have 20" wheels, and save $600.00 (Depending on what I'd choose). |
