What's up people, i'm a proud owner of a 2005 MDX and i'm looking to replace my factory radio. I've already had the factory 10" sub replaced with a fostgate sub and fostgate amp but i'm looking for more sound so i'm putting in Infinity speakers in all doors and i want to change the radio. I actually have a few questions, one i'm looking to put in a Jensen VM9311 DVD player and i'm a current subscriber to XM, would i have to get a connector? And would i be able to find a Acura kit to fit the Jesen player? Lastly would i get more sound and bass putting in the Infinty speakers and Jesen DVD player?

Thanks all........ good looking out for your help and comments:2:

Yes ,you will need to buy a connector..

Requires Terk XMDJEN100 or Jensen JXMC XM Cables (Sold Seperately)

Sorry ,I can't comment on this on.I have my radio stock..From experience though, You will get more sound and bass if the infinity is connected to 4 channel amp..

Lastly,I am not sure if XM will let you transfer your subscription. You need find this out because each XM unit has its own signal and serial number ( like your social security number)..If you do a great research on prices. You might have the Jensen and Xm below $500.

Oh you will also need this

Thanks doenuttz, i'm gonna do some homework and see if i can get a good price on the Jensen. I may have found the best price yet $379 but i'm gonna look a bit more. I guess i'll contact XM and find out what exactly would i need to do to get my subscription on the new reciever. Do you think it's in my best intrest to have a pro put this in for me or could i handle this type of job on my own?

Later dude........ Let's Go Mets......

I saw the Jensen unit for $328 with $24 for shipping in ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-JENSEN-VM93...cmdZViewItem..I think its worth it cause the seller is throwing in the Ipod cable for free...

As far as installation, All An installer will do is Color match the radio harness to the Jensen radio harness..Use the new radio housing ..They will also attached the XM Direct and hide it probably somewhere under the glove compartment and put the Xm antenna somewhere it can receive a signal(front dash)..So far they will charge you for installing 2 units.By the way,If you do not purchase the acura kit(radio harness, antenna adaptor,Radio housing) and XM Cable,An installer usually charge double to triple the price of the links I have provided ..

If you are not confident to do it yourself..I suggest hiring an installer to do it..Personally,I think its so easy . Alot of the installer charges $45 to $60 for each unit..If you find lower,GREAT !!!
