Just picked up my white '06 MDX Touring w/ NAV and RES in So Cal last night. We were originally going to get an '07 Pilot EX-L NAV and had gotten quotes from local dealers that I thought were very good. However, my wife reminded me that our last new car (although I've bought quite a few used since then) was an '89 Integra LS which we drove over 10 years without a single problem. So I stumbled onto this website and read great information, was pleased with Total Cost of Ownership figures on Intellichoice's website, and got quotes from my local Acura dealers. I really (REALLY) wanted to buy closer to home at 101 West or Gold Coast but they couldn't come close to the deal I got in Santa Monica ($36.5K including destination but not tax and license ... plus the promise of the NAV update disc).
So thanks for all the great posts! I'm looking forward to enjoying my MDX a looong time! I'll post some pictures soon!

These prices make me wonder if I should have waited. Your deal and Shoopdog's were both better than mine. Although, even at the time, the MI dealers were not going to the levels found in SoCal and other areas.
That said, those prices do start to cause a little buyer's remorse or, should I say, buyers' timing remorse.

agreed prices will change from area to area it seems to me Cali is giving great deals why other areas are bit behind
I called 4 dealers to get my price and that was as low as i could get them, even when i walked they would not budge. Accoring to SDTS they had room but were not going to dip into the 35's.
I am happy with the deal and I LOVE the truck and IMO worth every penny. The 200 or so dollars of room they MIGHT of had is only a couple of dollars in a payment so all in all I have what I want WHEN I wanted it, so I am happy. |
