I have been a long time reader but this is my first post. First off, I would like to thank everyone on this forum for all the information I have used to mod my X. So far I have done the navi converter, the Ipod link and put some HID's in.

After looking at 986spd's pics of his MDX with the RDX rims, I had to get a set for myself. I could not figure out how to post more than 1 but I will post more.

The rims came with the TPMS so I have 3 spare rims and tires w/ 29 k miles on them, that I need to get rid of. I'm keeping 1 as a spare, and all 4 still have the old sensors in them. I'm in the DC metro area and looking for local pick up. If no one bites i'm going to Craiglist them.
$150 per wheel.

Seems im not smart enough to post pics. My file is smaller than the limit but still no dice. Please help.

What size tires did you end up going with and what brand? Did you have them use the MDX TPM sensors so that they will be compatible with our system? The RDX uses a different Sensor sytem so I was told by Acura and they were not compatible thus causing the lights to all come on. I can't wait to see pictures. I love mine and my wife has had several compliments on them in the few days that we have had them mounted. I definitely notice that I can take an onramp much quicker--Mdx feels much more stabile when going into turns. I can't praise these Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asymmetrico tires enough. I hope you enjoy yours as much as my wife and I have ours.

I actually just bought those nerf bars on ebay for $200. I liked them better than the factory ones or any others I saw out there. The outurned ends that are solid stainless and not capped with black plastic. Much nicer that way.

I might have to keep watch for MDX rims on there. Would make a nice christmas present.

I got the tires that were originally recommended for the RDX rims. I have a buddy that works at Acura and he hooked it up pretty nice. I got the rims/tires + install for $2500. About the TPMS, I did not know that the RDX and MDX used a different system. My TPMS light is on, but I was going to have them look at it when I came in for my next service. If they can not fix the problem I can sacrafice nice wheels for no TPMS.

I've only had them on for about a week, but the handling is different. Cornering is better, and the comfort of the ride does not suffer.

I was never a big fan of putting different wheels on cars. After looking at your pix, I was sold immediately. I still can't post pix but PM me with you email address and I'll send a couple to you.

$2500 with a homie discount? I think you got ripped off especially with tires that don't match the MDX's stock diameter. I bought my chrome 22's with Nitto's for less than that.

matching the diameter isn't necessarily a big deal. The differences will affect the odometer a bit, but it's not enough to stress the suspension in any way. I think you can even program the new dimensions into the ecu so it matches up the odometer again.

I wouldn't mind seeing the wheel well filled in a little more.

What tire and size did they give you. The reason your TPM sensors are on is because either they used the RDX sensor or because they did NOT use a sensor at all when mounting the tires onto the rim. I asked if there was any way to not purchase the sensors and get away with having no lights on in the vehicle. Every service tech and Acura Client service rep said NO--that you would in fact have to have the MDX TPM sensors put on the RDX rim to have it all work the way it was designed to. I have the 255/50/18 which is as close to exact specifications as you can get to the factory 235/65/17 rim and tire combo. I like the looks of my chrome nerf bars also. I am curious to see how they hold up in the salt covered Michigan winter roads.

I thought these rims are 19s??? I am assuming you have 18s because oy the tire size you listed. Also, the RDX has the same bolt pattern as our 01-06 MDX, but the new 07 MDX does NOT...right?

By the way, your MDX looks absolutely awesome. Everything is well complemented. I can not find those side chrome bars anywhere on ebay. Can you or your bud give me the info to the guy that is selling them for 200.

Thanks!!
