I've 96K and ready for the big one. I know that the timing belt will need to be replaced and at the same time, I'll have the water pump replaced (parts is cheap) and have both serpentine belts changed. How much should I be paying for the basic (w/o pump and serpentine belt change) 100K service? The dealer is quoting me $1300 but I would like to verify with this group.
Also, will having this service improve my gas mileage. I do a lot of highway driving and use to get about 22mpg but now, I'm only getting about 19.
Thanks all. |

| There is no 100K service. There is a major service at 105K which is probably what you're referring to. If you throw in everything recommended, that price sounds about right. If you do the other stuff yourself, like changing spark plugs, changing the ATF and VTM, and oilchange, you can significantly reduce the final price. |

| The Acura dealer in Arlington Tx charges almost $900 for the timing belt and new water pump. |
