| How do I get the matainance required light to go off without taking the MDX in? I think there is a button I can press or a fuse, does anyone know? Thanks--Meg |

out of curiousity, are you due for an oil change or what not? Or did you get something done where they didn't reset the maintenance light?
I can't imagine dealer service would charge you to just reset the light. I've had Audi do it when I've taken the car elsewhere for service and they forgot to do it. I don't believe it's something you can easily do yourself. I think they pop in their computer connection and reset it that way. |

Thanks for the advice. It seems to be an Acura thing that the matainance required light goes on every 5000 miles or so just to encourage you to take it to the dealer for service. But I had an Integra and a friend would just press something, or pull a fuse, i am not sure, and the light would go off for another 5000 miles.
If anyone knows how to turn it off without going to the dealer, please let me know. Thanks |

1. Turn off the engine
2. Press and hold the select and reset buttons on the instrument panel, then turn the ignition switch on.
3. Hold the buttons for approximately ten seconds until the indicator resets. |

Try this (apologies to BaldEagle):
To reset the light with the key in the off position press and hold select and reset buttons while turning on the key (#II position). Hold for about 10 seconds and light will reset. Not sure if that works for your MDX because you did not indicate the year. Perhaps it's the same for all years? |
