| Just bought a 2004 tour/nav with 49K miles. Dealer quote of $1710 for additional 100k unlimited warranty. Should I spend the money? |

How long are you going to keep it? How long is it going to take you to reach 100K? The 2004 has been pretty reliable, I'd probably pass on it? Since you have only 1K left on the standard warranty, make sure you go through it thoroughly and get anything taken care of before it expires. |

| It is certified and the limited warrenty is extended to 62K. I am a little concerned about the trnasmission posts. |

| Is this for an additional 100K miles or until you reach 100K miles? If for an additional 100K miles, that is a good price. I concur that it depends on how long you plan to keep the vehicle. |

Tranny is not really a problem for 2003 and up. |

2003's in the above poll show some problems?
There were some problems reported for 2003 but not nearly the number reported with the 2001/2002. what_a_hoot2 has a 2004 which have very few problem reports. I believe SuperTech has said that he has seen very few 2003 tranny problems. |
