Do you guys know of anything good to use for the carpets. Kids have chocolate stains on my rear carpets, thanks

I have used FOLEX, you can get it at walmart Purple Lettering, white spray bottle. I hope your carpets are black. LOL. I am not sure if there are better solutions, as always test on a piece of non visible carpet first.

If it's on the floormats then you are in luck since you can take those out of the vehicle and give them a good scrubbing. If its on the carpeting itself, you should be able to remove most of the visible stain yourself, but for complete removal you may want to hire a detailer with an extractor. To do it yourself, try these suggestions for each scenario...

Always vacuum thoroughly before cleaning.

Floormat cleaning Floormats collect a lot of dirt that can literally cut away at the fibers if not removed regularly (this is why mats get bald spots). Vacuum monthly, clean every 3-6 months.

Materials: Any general purpose cleaner that is safe for carpets (I like Simple Green, dilute properly), a scrub brush with semi-firm bristles, hose.

1) Take mats out of the car and spray cleaner generously on the mats. Apply a few sprays of water from the hose but do not soak.
2) Using the scrub brush, firmly scrub in several directions. For example, I like to scrub horizontally first, then vertically, and finally diagonally. Using varying strokes will help loosen stubborn stains. If the cleaner does not begin to lather after a dozen or so strokes, spray a little more water onto the mat and finish scrubbing. Let this sit for a minute before proceeding.
3) If possible, at this point I like to use a strong clip to hang my mats for the rest of the job. If not, you can leave them on the ground, hanging just speeds things up a bit. Step three is to Rinse. Using a strong spray setting on your hose nozzle, thoroughly rinse the mat until the water coming off it runs clear with little to no suds.
4) Either leave your mats in the warm sun to dry or use a wet-vac to vacuum out most of the moisture. Make sure the mat is completely dry before returning it to the vehicle.

Cleaning interior carpeting:

Materials: A general purpose cleaner, scrub brush, terry towels, wet-vac.

1) Spray cleaner generously onto stain. Do not use the hose here since you cannot remove this carpet to allow for complete drying. If you need a little extra moisture, you can use water from a spray bottle, but try not to soak the area.
2) Use brush to agitate stain and work the cleaner into a lather. Again, use strokes from multiple directions to break up the stain.
3) Use the terry towel to firmly blot away soil and excess solution... inspect the area. If stain persists, repeat scrubbing and blot again with a clean towel.
4) Once the stain is removed, use a towel to wick up as much moisture as possible and follow with a wet-vac. Vacuum the fibers vigorously from multiple directions. Do not cover back up with a floormat until the area is completely dry.

Note: Different kinds of stains may require different kinds of cleaners. General and citrus cleaners are good for most food-type stains, but for organic stains (like pet urine or vomit) you should buy a cleaner specifically designed to break down those enzymes.
