went into the dealership to kick the tires on a '07 mdx.

spoke to the dealer who sold me my current 04 mdx.

he says that the best he can do is knock off $500 msrp because there is so much demand.

Is this true? are the 07's selling for list?

can any one comment on what they are getting?

thanks

I'm sure they will be selling for list + $$ for the next month or two until stock at all the dealers hits a complete level.

One guy claims to have paid $55k with accessories!

I am sure as long as the 2006's are on the lots....discounts will be light ($500) to nill on 2007 models.

That was fun4me: Link

He does say that he paid MSRP ($49K) + the accessories. But it is unclear whether the $55K was the out the door price including taxes or not. I hope so because the accessories he lists do not add to anywhere near $6K. There is very little inventory right now so demand is high. Wait till the end of this year/beginning of next year, and prices will have likely come down quite a bit. They just increased the 2006 incentive to $3000, so there must still be a large number of 2006s on the lots.

$500 under sticker is consistent with what I have heard from more than one dealer. Of course it is hard to tell for sure when they know a trade-in is involved.

Well, I live in Virginia, but when I was on vacation in Orlando last week, I got my 07 MDX there ~ Nimbus gray with all three packages. I managed to negotiate for them to throw in a set of roof racks and rails (about $500 worth) as well as take off about $1,000 on the lease. The final terms of the lease is with no money down, 48 months @ 12K/yr, monthly payment at $695.

BTW, I had actually put down a $1,000 deposit on an 07 about two months ago with a dealership in VA, but they claimed they couldn't get any shipment in until early November. However, when I was in Orlando and called the local dealership, they had three in the lot, unclaimed! Go figure!

You all did better than I did. Just put a deposit on an 07 in SD. Best I could do was MSRP. Accessories expensive, I just bought the ones I knew I could not install, roof rails and mirror.
:(

thought you all may want to know i was only able to get about 1k in dealer add ons.

obviously it does not cost them a 1k but to me it still 1k in value.

and had them hold firm on the trade in. Because they are back ordered 2months, the dealer was trying to work down the trading in.

Got a quote for a Sport/Ent in black/bordeaux from my local dealer for $51 K. That includes tow hitch, mirror, chrome sidesteps and rear parking sensors. I only managed to bring the price down by $1K from their original asking price.

I got another quote from a dealer some 100 miles away for the same package for just under $50K but I didn't want to deal with the drive to and fro, especially with a trade.

I'm just curious ~ why would you want to get rear parking sensors when there's a rearview camera already as part of the Tech package?

anybody else with some competitive numbers? i was able to negotiate ~$2700 worth of accessories down, and the costco auto program discount of $200 off MSRP here in the San Francisco Bay Area/Sacramento. i haven't pulled the trigger yet, but i'm very close!

i would love to hear from more people with their negotiated sales prices!

Let's just say I am taking the fifth due to an unfortunate rear bumper mishap (WITH a rear camera on my 01) not caused by me. :D
