Wish you were closer to the southeast and I had the spare cash. I need new tires for my 03 and would love to bump the rim size just a bit.

I hear you, but think about it. These tires alone are just $1000 if you order them from Tirerack.com

Here you are getting brand new wheels with it.

I think it is an incredible deal.

I believe these are off a RDX.
Unfortunately the tires are not the right size for MDX.
To keep the stock diameter, MDX needs 255/55/18 tires.

The 235/55/18 tires will decrease the drive ratio by 2.9%,
which can be significant. For example, when you are driving at 70 mph, your speedo reading would be 72.1 mph.
For every 100 miles you travel, the odometer reading would be inflated by 2.9 miles.

One benefit though is that you would get a faster acceleration off the line :)

Yes, those are from the RDX. In addition to the smaller tire (and wheel width), the RDX 5-spoke design has a single crease in each spoke (as these do), the 18" MDX Sport wheels (5-spoke) have two creases.

Take-offs like these can be found on eBay (that picture is used on eBay) for $500 - $600 plus shipping.

Here are a few examples:

$500 Ended 11/09/06
$600 Ended 11/06/06
$588 Ended 10/29/06

I also believe the offset of the MDX is different from that of the RDX.

Yes, but the small benefit gained in gearing would probably be (more than) offset by the additional unsprung weight of 18" vs 17" rims and tires.

Thanks for your posts. Just to clarify. McGrath Acura Tech department confirmed to me that offset and bolt patterns are the same, this is what I go by.

Aside from that approx 2% inaccuracy due to different sizing can be either reduced or slightly increased based on the tire pressure. We can get scientific about it but reality is that <2% may not noticeble to many users.

Other than that these tires work and they are very good tires and wheels.

Again appreciate your comments, but please keep these thread focused on the offers and pricing, otherwise it gets confusing. if you have concerns PM me and I will respond withing 24 hours.

Thanks,
dvzzz

just to further clarify for the seller......

RDX Rim size='01-'06 MDX Rim Sixe (direct bolt on)

RDX Rim size NOT the same as '07 MDX rim size (needs adapters).

I forget my Algebraic terminology, but this also means
'07 MXD Rim size not equal to '01-'06 Rim size.

Tires are a different story, see note above.

Someone correct me if I am wrong on the rim size thing.

This means that the RDX rims are the easiest way to go to upgrade your '01-'06 MDX

YUP... if you have an 01-06 MDX your bolt pattern is 5X114.3 vs. the 07 MDX @ 5X120. So if any of you are looking to upgrade your 01-06 to 18"... the answer is YES. If any of you want go after-market I can recomend a manufacturer that has plenty of styles to choose from and is priced moderately... just send me a PM and I will give you a website and a contact...

Just remember X'rs... stay with the overall OEM diameter (tire) when replacing your wheels.

The offset on the wheels I just put on my 07 is +40... The OEM wheels are in storage... I will look at them and let you know... I think its +38...
