| How much are you willing to invest? And have you tried the local Acura dealer? |

| You're out of luck--your system uses the black navi DVDs. Those DVDs never had Canadian coverage (and still don't). The vehicle you bought must have been a US version as they didn't sell navi versions in Canada until MY 2003 I believe. |

| I know that sucks, cause i'm in the same boat!!! I just bought a 02 MDX about 2 weeks ago as well, and I live in Vancouver as well, mine has the navi in it as well, its originally from California. I called Richmond Acura yesterday and they told me to call Honda directly. Honda told me to call Alpine canada, cause they are the ones that made the navi systems for Honda's. I tried callng them but they were already closed, I will try again tomorrow morning, and will let you know, i've got my fingers crossed, but it doesn't look good, cause I spent all day yesterday on the internet looking for info about the system, and i think there's no navi dvd that covers canada. |

You guys are out of luck. No navi in Canada until 2005 model year. You guys should have done some research B4 buying a US model. Just one of the many disadvantages of doing so! |

Hey guys i'm from Vancouver also, I was planning to buy a US model mdx too. But i decided to stay with the Locals only.
NEVER KNOW WHAT THAT MDX HAS GONE THUR!
Just got one question DON"T YOU KNOW YOUR WAY AROUND THE LOWER MAINLAND.? Why would you need a navigation! Sorry i had to ask?
Oh BTW doesn't the navigation work in the state? Or does it not work either way?? That would Suck.
If not
didn't you try it out when you test drove the mdx?
HOPE YOU GUYS FIND A WAY TO GET IT WORKING |

The 2003 us model has disks that can be updated to include canada.
just go to the acura web site and see if you have a 2003 you can buys the disks with the updates that include canada.
Also you can buy a 2003-2005 system to install in your 2002. It just takes wiring and $$

He has an '02 and the '03 discs are not compatible with his system. As for the cost of getting a new system, you're probably looking at upwards of $2000 to get all the parts and wiring harnesses you would need to make this work. It would be much cheaper to buy an aftermarket unit that has Canadian coverage included. |
