| I may just be paranoid about our recent transmission relplacement, but I am noticing something new in our 03 MDX (108k). After starting the X and driving off, I feel 2 distinct clicks or something going on in the front end (or underneath) before it ever reaches second gear. If I stop, put it in park, then back to drive and begin again, I do not fell the clicks. If I turn off the car, then start it and drive off again, I feel the two clicks. Is something (ABS maybe) just doing what it is supposed to do? Thanks for any input. Tom |

There is an ABS self check that is noticeable. |

I noticed the EXACT same thing in my 03. I drove the vehicle for about 6 months before I ever noticed it. I can hear / feel those 2 clicks through the pedal if I'm wearing thin-soled shoes like a pair of Vans or something. Weird. Given that I can only replacate the sound after parking and shutting off the vehicle, some sort of self adjust mechanism would make sense.
Anyone else have any input? |

I have noticed the exact same thing on my 06. It has been doing pretty much right from the start. I had the Service manager test drive it and he couldn't feel anything.
Maybe I'm over sensitive to these things.
But I sure hope someone can confirm that it is in fact the ABS self check. |
