| Replacing struts and shocks, anything else?

I'll be having a shop change the struts and shocks on my '02 X with 52k, which they recommended after inspecting the vehicle.
Even after I replaced my old CT tires with new GY SA's, the X still "jumps sideways" over potholes and the ride is still rough. However, cornering is vastly improved because of the new tires; the old ones were really worn.
The shop mechanic didn't see any leakage in the struts and shocks, but he said the gases in them have deteriorated enough to considerably affect their dampening ability. He said they may go another 10k miles but that's pushing it. (Does that sound right?)
I'm planning to get strut assembly (probably KYBs) and shocks (Monroe reflex). Should I also replace strut mounts and shock bushings? Is there anything else I should consider replacing while I'm doing the suspension work?

| Do a search on bushings. I'd venture that you'll get more satisfaction from replacing them than anything else. |
