| Just checking if anyone has ever used Seafoam on their X and how did they go about doing it ? And how did it go ? |

I will pour a can of SeaFoam into all of my engine fuel tanks at some time or other. I do the cars just before a trip in the Fall or Winter. The sleds on their first outing. The water toys every other tank full. Small engines (tractor, mower, blower, etc) every time.
I haven't had any problems with it. I also use Stabil for tanks of gas that sit for more than a few weeks. |

| I should have been more clear. I was actually asking about running it through the intake and adding it to crankcase for a complete cleanup. |

Yep... I recently seafoamed my X... I put it in a spray bottle and went to town via the throttle butterfly. I did this and then replaced all the plugs. |

| I used Sea Foam in my crankcase right before an oil change and the other half in the gas tank. I also used the Trans Tune when I recently did the 3X fluid swap. I didnt do the intake method on the MDX but I did it previously on my Explorer. I like the stuff. Just be careful when you do the intake method as you dont want to hydro lock the motor. |

| I haven't used the Seafoam, but I have done the GM equivalent. I run it in through the PCV hole using a funnel and tube. I pour the first 3/4 slowly while applying a little throttle, then dump the last 1/4 fast to stall the engine. Let it sit around six hours, fire it up for some fun driving / killing mosqiotos with the smoke on startup, and then change the oil and plugs. |

well I finally did it on both the cars today.
just followed the instructions on seafoam's website. Let it suck in from a vacuum line, turn engine off and let it sit for 5 mins. Then drive off. The Accord put up quite a show with the fumes but the X did not. It just fumed a little bit.
Tomorrow I will add the remaining seafoam to the crankcase let it idle for a bit and drop the oil.
The engine is more quiet and smooth now. Too early to say anything about fuel mileage and power. But I noticed that the transmission shifts a little smoother on both the cars - especially when shifting from P or N into D or R. It engages smoothly whereas before it was a little hard and jerky. I have no idea or explanation how that could happen. |
