No need for HDTV. Couldn't understand what all this stuff was. A few months ago she wanted an HDTV for the bedroom and was upset that I only got a 37" LCD. Now she wants an LCD for the kitchen. Seems like a very good TV. G cody For the quality & price ($650), you'll have a hard time beating the 26" LCD HDTV Sanyo, from Wal-Mart. Tuner is built-in, great picture, easy to wall mount (only weighs 26 lbs) etc. We bought one in April and have it on our porch. Awesome! (Yes, I looked at the Sharp, Panasonic, Sony, etc---all of them are nice, at about twice the price.) Good luck.
