JUST RECEIVED MY INVATATION FOR A BUYBACK QUOTE IN CONJUNCTION WITH AN ACURA YEAR END EVENT.
COULD ANYONE GIVE ME SOME NUMBERS THAT THEY HAVE BEEN OFFERED ON A '01, NON-NAVI, TOURING MDX TOWARDS THE PURCHASE OF A NEW ONE. ( 75,000 MILES, ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION)
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW, GOING IN HOW SPECIAL THE DEAL IS GOING TO BE. IT IS PROMOTED AS A "SPECIAL MARKET TEST
PRICING AND FINANCING EVENT" (3.9 % ) |

Beware. This "event" is just another trick to get you in to the dealer. There may be nothing special happening at all except that some persons who received the letter about the "event" will visit the dealer. Once in, they may try anything to get you to buy. They are in business to make money and they see people as money making opportunities. I get letters like that from many sources several times a year.
If you did not come in, they would have not chance at getting your money.
Beware. |

"beware" is a little strong of a word, but that is nothing more than a marketing tool we as dealers use to send out to our current customer base. You will get the same deals you could get just walking in as a customer. Some dealers will treat you a little differently if you are currently one of their customers, but all in all, they will just be doing a normal car deal with you.
Marketing technique, not a "trick". |

| You may walk in for that special deal and wake up 18 hours later in a bathtub full of ice and missing a kidney. BEWARE! |

SORRY GUYS, YOU ALL MISSED THE POINT. I'M LOOKING FOR TRADE-IN NUMBERS FROM ANYONE WHO RECENTLY HAS OR HAS CONSIDERED DOING SO WITH A 2001 MDX.
NO ONE HAS EVER SOLD ME A VEHICLE-- I CONTROL ALL DEALS AND/OR PURCHASES.
I WAS REALLY LOOKING FOR HELP, NOT ADVISE. |

I agree. Although it may not sound like the answer you are looking for, it's probably your best bet anyway.
We all know trade-in values vary greatly depending on the vehicle attributes, how badly the dealer wants your business, and the timing (3 months ago you could have gotten a much higher trade-in value prior to the official release of 07 to most of the dealers).
Therefore getting a few actual trade-in numbers from fellow MDX owners may not be very useful.
At least KBB gives you more of an average of the numbers in your area.
FYI, a month ago my dealer friend offered me $19000 for my 02 touring, non-navi with 50000 miles.
Good luck in your dealing! |

| I got offered $12000 for my 2001 MDX Tour+Nav 60K miles. Unfortunately or fortunately the car got into an accident day after I spoke to the dealer and burned down over the weekend while it was at the body shop! |
