| I took my screeching MDX to the dealer this past Monday. While I was waiting for the mechankc/service tech to take a test ride with me, I walked around the car and looked closely at each wheel. I notced that there was a lot more heat coming from the driver's rear wheel, which is where I think the noise and thud was coming from. This is the 3rd time I had been in to see the dealer in the last 2 months. The tech felt the heat also and whent to check to see if the emergency break was on. It wasn't. I rarely use it and always check to make sure it is off. The tech said he thought the ER cable may be the cause. As he was driving into the service area the screeching sound was as loud as ever. They replaced the ER cable with a new one and I haven't heard the thud noise or any screeching. Anyone with this problem, 1st check the heat of the wheels after driving a few miles. |
