I asked the dealer about Tire Road Hazard Insurance and he had the Following:
$277 for $200/Wheel or Tire for the life of the Tire
$385 for $400/Wheel or Tire for the life of the Tire
I bought Goodyear Insurance at “$60 total” for the life of the tire for 4 tires and never used it on my 2001 MDX.
I could not find a dealer that sold Michelin Road Hazard Insurance for my 2004 and ended up spending about $440 for 2 tires that each got a nail in the side wall.
Has anyone purchased Road Hazard Insurance?_______
Who sells it? |

| Most tire dealers will happily sell you a tire policy on even new vehicles. I'm not sure what part of Florida you're in, but Discount Tire does this. I think I bought one for my Subaru for about $88 -- provides full-cost replacements for damaged tires (e.g. if the damaged tire is 50% worn, you don't have to pay for 50% of the tire), complementary rotations and flat fixes. Also, if I have to replace one or three other tires on the Subaru because the damaged tire requires replacing, the other tires are pro-rated in cost. |

I bought Tire Road Hazard Insurance from discount tires today.
It cost a total of $117 for the life of the tire. This was much more than the $60 total I paid in 2000 for my 2001 MDX Goodyear tires.
The cost was a little over $36/tire and I told him that was too much and then he offered the 4 tires for the price of 3.
There are 700 dealers around the country that I can collect on it if I ruin a tire by running over something in the road. That cost is about half of the retail cost of one new tire.
I also got my defective back up camera exchanged today, instructions so I can use the bluetooth phone, and reinstalled a plastic front seat mount cover that fell off. The dealer drove out to where I work and got my car and left a 06 TSX for me to drive to dealer after work. |
