a bit tardy with my review, but here it goes:
i had the opportunity to drive a new 2007 Tech/Ent model (similar to my own) while my vehicle was in the service department for detailing. The dealership had loaned me one of their demos overnight. so, i took this chance for a 400+ mile round trip to Lake Tahoe/Reno Area with the Acura 19" Sparkle Wheels and a fully loaded demo (5 Adults, 2 Children).
i was definitely happy that i didn't go with this option. now, i didn't record what rubber was on the wheel, but the ride was more harsh than i expected. i also understand the whole advantage of larger wheels, and the down-side to less rubber from my younger years of modified honda civic's. but this harsh ride was not to my liking--maybe it's my older age creeping up on me. i'm not willing to sacrifice the comfort of a $50+ vehicle for that 'look'. it was further reinforced, when i finally turned their vehicle in, and drove mine home. big difference in road feel and noise.
given, i have never driven SUV's with 'Dubs' or anything similar--looks like i'm sticking with the stock setup. |
