I went out after work to show off my new 07 MDX Sport to a couple friends and I pressed the remote to lower all windows and open the moon roof to let out all the heat(In Florida it is still hot).
There had been light rain for a few minutes earlier and the parking lot was still damp.
I then got into the car started it and as I back out, I got wet on the head with about a ounce of water and the passenger seat got about the same amount of water. I have never had that happen before on my other MDXs. The car was on a flat surface with a very slight slope to the front of the car.
Let me know if this happens to any of you. Maybe the drain holes are plugged.
I also noticed that my remote would not put up all the windows and close the moon roof. I need to read to see if this is normal.
My car goes back to the shop to install a new Back Up Camera and replace a front seat mount cover that came off. I have not been able to make blue tooth call out, but can recevie blue tooth calls. I have no idea what is going on on this. I only have had the car for 5 days. |

| I hope everything turns out OK for you. These types of problem, if isn't operator fixable, are what turns me away from getting a new model year vehicle. One day I will conquer this fear. Yeah...right :p! |

The remote will only lower the windows and open the sun roof, it will not close them. It is consistent with Lexus, and I am sure it is due to liability issues with people or appendages getting squished.
Am I missing something on the sun roof issue? Why wouldn't water setting on the roof roll in through the big hole when the car moves. Just like when it rolls down the windshield or the back window. |

| Maybe the water that came in was just water drops that beaded up on the sun roof glass and then when opened collected in one larger pool of water that came forward and then down when I backed up. Now that it has happended, I will look out for this condition or even try to make it happen again when I give my car its first shower. |

| How do you make it roll down all the windows as my salesmans gave me the wrong manual package. He gave me the 07 TL and I've not had time to swing by my dealership since. |

You can make all the Windows and Sun Roof Open by two methods:
1. Push the Unlock Button on the remote and release then push it again and hold it down.
The Windows will not go up with the remote.
2. You can also stick the key in the door (If you can remember how to do that) and turn the keyto the right once and release and then turn to the right and hold it until the windows go down. I think you can turn the key to the left and close them all.
I just wish Acura would make a internal solar powered fan to remove the hot air during the day similar to the units you can buy that clip on the top of the windows. Only if built in, they should not be on the windows and not make noise while driving.
I did notice that when the sun roof opens there is a different type of wind deflector that sticks up. I assume it was designed to be quiet, but have not tried it yet to hear the noise level.
I have only looked a few pages of the manual and need to learn more.
I have not figured out how to get the NAVI to show the screen with the real time clock and moving lat and long GPS coordinates as you move along with elevation. |
