I am getting some aftermarket wheels for my X and I am getting a set of OEM TPMS sensor. I am assuming that I have to make the system learn the new sensor after I get the new wheels mounted. Doe anyone know what is the procedure to do this?

sorry for the thread jack, but out of curiousity, now much are the sensors and where did you get them from?
thanks

very simple, put the sensors on the wheels, mount the tires, install them on the truck, and drive it,

done. they do it them selves

Thanks! That is what I needed to know.

BTW, I paid $130 shipped for a set of 4 TPMS stem valve online.

Are you sure of that? When Sears broke one changing my tire, I had to have Acura replace it and they needed to calibrate or activate them in some way.

yeah well, thats what they told you, you should have only paid at most .5 for labour,

thats to break down the tire on the one rim, and replace the sensor, then you are done,

i have put a set of winter rims with TPMS on a tl, and even with the summers in the back i had no problem, (that 4 tpms sensors in the trunk/backseat, plus one at each wheel, )
