I got our 01 mdx transmission replaced with a re-manufactured one 2 days ago. All seems well, but today I finally got a chance to drive it on the highway going on a higher speed. As soon as I hit 55 mph, I felt a shudder and next thing you know the engine light came on. Things got worst from then on. It was hard to pick up speed...the RPM would raise but no speed to push the car along. The shuddering got rougher and more frequently. I don't know what to say or think. I am obviously taking it back to the dealer first thing Monday.
Has anyone encounter anything like this? Actually, I am glad it happened right away and not 6 months or a year later. But this is just unacceptable!!! We bought Acura for reliability, right?

But wait...before they determined the mdx needed a tranny replacement, they did intall a new EGR valve and this was only 3 months ago. Do they go bad that fast too? |
