Question - when you set the headlights to "auto" are they supposed to come on every time you open the door?
Mine do, and I can't believe that is right. Did I screw up a setting in the MID?

| Are you in a dark place, e.g. garage when you first open the door? It usually goes out after a few seconds, as noted on the lamp indicator once you're out in sunlight. |

Yes, I was in the garage when I was playing with the settings. Thanks.
Still, I really don't want the headlights coming on every tiome I open the door.

I'm afraid it's one of those idiosyncrasies of the 07 ~ whenever the light sensor sensed darkness, it would turn the lights on automatically. But then again, it would turn itself off after a few seconds, if there's no action. |

| Try setting the delay for the lights to stay on after you turn the car off to 0. I think this will keep them from coming on when you open the door in a dark place. I know mine stopped doing it for a while and I think that is how I did it. |

Not just an 07 attribute. My 04 will do the same thing.

| Leave the headlight switch in "off" and they will not come on when you open the door. |
