NICE!!! :4:
Post it in the gallery...
Good choice on the "SPORT RUNNING BOARD"!!!
CONGRATS! |

I like the snow on the ground as much as anything.
Post pics with Pontoons on the roof! :2:
You know your skis are wide when they're wider than tires were when we were kids. Or when the waist nearly matches the waist on my racing snowboards.

Seems like the sport running board is the way to go ... I don't really need running boards, but they do seem to make it look nicer.
Was that your determining factor? ... looks vs functionality? |

Sorry, just caught these posts.
First off, yeah, the snow looks just as good. Actually, it was pretty poor that day. 20" new snow the last few days and it's still going....I'll get some shots of the rack with family here this weekend....lately I've just been walking to the lift....
The rails were chosen for both looks and function. I don't have kids, but I do I have short girlfriends and my mom. But, I'm no giant at 5'9 (short legs). Getting into this car is a little more difficult than my Pilot (7" less in height) and I use the rails getting in and out. Great for cleaning crap off your shoes even though I have the rubber mats.
I also wanted rails to make easier cleaning the roof and if i ever decided to get a roof rack (which I did, for skis). works great for both tasks. but, for me, looks was also a huge factor. I wasn't sold on the car's looks and I really don't care for the car that much naked (though it's growing on me). It still looks muscle, but adds quite a bit more class....some may disagree.....
Comments here about the sport boards not cleaning up are so far not a problem and the Rack itself is heavy duty and much nicer than that of my Pilot. I was concerned they were one in the same.
Overall, I'm really pleased with all the options I purchased and last night got some great compliments from folks who didn't know it was my new car until we got up to it...a 911 owner about my age and two 26 year-old girls who's opinions I respect more given their own sporty accessories. : ) |

| Thanks for the reply ... I'm still kind of torn on the roof rack ... don't need it, won't use it but it may look better with it on. I am going to wait and see how it looks without it. |

| Looks real nice in the snow. Thats the perfect background. I really like the look of the 07 MDX more and more everytime I look at pictures or go down to my garage lol. You know I told my wife it was ugly and would not get one untill I went to the dealer and saw one in person. Now when I look at pictures they look good too. |

Glad to Husker...it's a tough call...my dealer had it included in the package, so i guess that made mine easier....
....but as johnboy states, i too thought this was an ugly car at first, mostly from promo materials and the silver in many of the reviews (sorry to the silver owners - i've just owned too many, now i can't stand the color on any model car, but that's just me).
if my family ever gets here with all the snow and the sun comes out, I may get to drive again and take that shot or two while it's still reasonably clean. : ) |

I didn't like the car either at first, but have grown to like it ... like you guys it was mostly the colors I had seen that was the problem. I think the car looks better in person than in pictures as well ... especially concerning the grill that people seem to think is a "love it" or "hate it" deal.
I'm pretty pumped to pick it up! Getting the garnishes (one is back-ordered so it'll be put on next week and I can have the rack put on then too if I want), side body moldings, night/day mirror, sport running boards. |

yep, good choice on the options.
colors in general are a problem with the car. the red looked great in person, but it didn't fit me that well for an suv. i'd like to see one of the whites and very anxious to see if the green is nauseous or not. with the same set of options could be cool (for a few years anyway).
huskers = Nebraska? that's where my family is stuck, N. Platte to be exact. |

They had a green one in the showroom here .... i thought it looked pretty nice, but BLACK is always my choice.
Yep, Nebraska ... sorry to hear about your family being stuck there. North Platte isn't too exciting :) They should be able to get out of there pretty soon I'd imagine. Not a hint of snow here in Lincoln, Nebraska but we did get quite a bit of rain. |

Yep...the roads are openning up now. Lincoln is a great, great town.
Congrats on the car this weekend. you're going to love it and totally can't go wrong with Black. And speaking of color, those rubber floor and cargo mats are less annoying than I ever thought and clean up great. I don't think the regular mats are flimsy as others here have said, but I might even use these things come summer if there's a need. |

have you spent a lot of time in Lincoln?
I am anxious! I am close to calling the dealer tomorrow and telling them to put the roof rack on, but I will just wait and see ... can't hurt to wait as long as they agree not to rape me on a price.
I purchased the all-season mats too, but not the cargo mat ... may pick it up down the road if I think I want it.
I WISH IT WAS SATURDAY! |

Hi,
Do the sport running boards actually serve a purpose. I've done a massive search but most people think it's more cosmetic than functional. I am leaning toward the sport running board look-wise, but I do need them to be functional getting my wife and her mom, whom are both short, in and out of the car =).
On a different note, the posted pic (the first one) looks like it has the rear garnish installed. Atleast thats what it looks like. (because I don't remember my car looking like that atleast!) I guess my question is how well it matches with the black, and if someone's got the front garnish, how well it matches the grille.
Any pics of it, and not the touched up ones from Acura, would be great.
Thanks! |

The sport running boards are definitely useful....very helpful for getting in and out for short or not so short people (i'm 5'9). I think the car is actually a little difficult to get in and out of due to its shape, so these help. Also, they're great to get to the roof for a ski rack or anything else you may have up there (or simply to dry after washing. Best yet, however, I like the look. The car in general is still warming on me.
I have both the front and rear garnishes. Now that I've taken the front plate holder off I should take more pictures. The garnishes are another option I really like the looks of. The "featured" mdx on the front of this site should have more photos, or at least search for photos by that poster....he has numerous shots of every angle.... |

Ditto. Yesterday two of my passengers were petite women in high heels who used the sport running boards to get in and out of my X. Without the running boards, they would have had a hard time getting in and out of the car. |
