I'm not sure why this happens...
I will make or receive a call using the Bluetooth interface and then I will end the call. If I try to place another call right after that, I use the controls on the steering wheel to place the call using voice commands, but when the call is answered, I cannot hear them through the audio system. I have to open my phone and talk to them like I didn't have a bluetooth connection.
I didn't realize this was happening at first and just assumed the call was dropped. I finally heard someone voice coming from my phone sitting on the passenger seat.
Anyone ever have this happen? I use voice commands to place the call, but then it goes to the handset. Strange. |

| I am going to pick up my Formal Black/Ebony 07 MDX this weekend and i also have the same phone/service asyou. Iwill let you know if I have the same problem. I did a lot of research on the phone compatability and the LG should be OK for all "normal" functions. The only phones that seemed to pass all of the testing were 2 sony-ericcsson models.....which of course verizon does not support. |

Thanks.
It's very annoying. Why have a bluetooth connection if it only works sometimes? I prefer to keep the phone in my pocket, but with this happening, I have to take it out everytime I get in the car.
Look forward to hearing from you. |

| I understand that this is about 2007 bluetooth. I configured my LGVX8600 with my 05 yesterday. Used it a couple of times today and it was a breeze and also the call quality was better on my LG when compared to my wifes Moto Razr. |

| I have the LGUX8600. It didn't do it for a bit of time. I hope it goes away the way it came. |

| I have the LG VX9800...I'll let you know as soon as I get to try it. (hopefully tomorrow, but the dealer in NH has been telling me that my MDX will be here "any day now" for the last 2 weeks! Claims that once the computer shows that it left Ontario, that they have no way of tracking it. Yeah, right. I was born at night, but it wasn't LAST night. ) |

| OK...got my new MDX BLK/BLK and it is sweet. LG phone (VX9800)paired up nicely and most functions work well. Had 1 instance where I could NOT pick up a call with the HFL, but I answered manually and it came over the system fine. That same call, when ended, the phone "disconnected" (bluetooth) and I had to sync it again, but it has not happened since. This is only day 3 with the X and there have been maybe 20 calls in and out with the one problem. |

Verizon disables certain bluetooth capabilities on their phones, such as sending files from the phone to the computer. This is so you will buy their extra services.
It could be that the bluetooth is trying to use a capability that VZ has disabled. The question is, "Is it a phone hardware problem with that model, or is it a VZ problem?" |

I don't know where the problem lies. I made a call this past Thursday...
I used the Bluetooth button on the steering wheel and said "Call 951 *** ****. The voice repeated the number back to me.
I never heard it ring over the car speakers.
I then heard someone talking through the hands free on my telephone. I had to open my phone to carry on the conversation.
It seems like every 4-5 calls, I have to talk through my handset after placing a call through the bluetooth in the car. It will dial through voice commands but then switches back to my handset when it places the call.
Any ideas?
It does not do that at all when I receive an incoming call. Only when I place calls.
Usually only on the second or third call I make during the same drive. |
